JOB PURPOSE/Summary
The Field Service Technician provides installation, field maintenance and routine service on copiers and office equipment to our customers and clients, while providing each customer with outstanding customer service in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
Essential Function/Job Duties
Attendance and Dependability: The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work. Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious, about assignments. Can work well in a team setting, as well as individually, with little or no supervision.
Communication and Contact: The employee communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
Relationships with Others: The employee exhibits a professional manner and works effectively and relates well with others Including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
Travel: This position requires travel to customer locations, other office locations, and training sessions.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent with post education in a technical/mechanical field required. Previous experience working with electronics or mechanical devices preferred. Must possess a high level of technical aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to trouble shoot and identity issues efficiently. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to stand – remaining on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about Walking – Moving about on foot Lifting – Raising or lowering an object from one level or area to another 50-75 lbs. Carrying – Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder Climbing– Ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs or hands and arms Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending at the knee Handling – Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hand or hands. The ability to communicate by expressing or exchanging information by means of the spoken word, vision, as well as hearing by perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility during certain periods might be required, depending on customer’s needs.
