Job Purpose/Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and routine servicing of copiers and office equipment for customers. This role ensures that all service calls are handled efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner. The Technician plays a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing support to clients to ensure optimal functionality of their office technology.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair copiers, printers, and other office equipment at customer locations.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues.

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of service parts and supplies.

Communicate and escalate any customer concerns or equipment performance issues to management.

Ensure all service calls are completed efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.

Stay current with technical advancements and participate in ongoing training to enhance expertise and effectiveness.

Make sound, informed decisions when maintaining and repairing equipment to meet company standards and customer expectations.

Properly document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and any follow-up actions required.

Follow all company policies and safety protocols while working in the field.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a technical or mechanical field preferred.

Previous experience working with electronics, mechanical devices, or office equipment servicing is preferred.

Strong technical aptitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues quickly and effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
